Shed from Bogacica Nowa, mid-19th century
It is a typical example of a building constructed as vertical post log structure less frequently occurring on the area of Opole Silesia. This small building with a single interior was made in 1850s. There is a thatched gable roof. The interior of the shed was used to organise an exhibition presenting 19th-century quern, foot-mills and hand-presses to press oil from the grains of flax, hemp, poppy, sunflower, rape and others. These oils were formerly used on peasant farms for both consumption and technical purposes (e.g. for lubricating cart wheel axles and other mechanical appliances).
